I recently got my nose 6 days ago have been taking good care of it (sea salt soaks twice a day, etc.) When I first got it I barely noticed it and I don't notice it much now except when I'm cleaning it or I make slight contact with it.. The pain has increased intensely and I'm not sure if that's a cause for worry. Also, my intial piercing is an L shape and after a couple of days it began to sink in and I can barely even see the back of it inside my nose, should I worry?
Possibly. You could be having a reaction to the jewelry that was put into your piercing, or it could be something else entirely. Because I’m not a professional piercer or doctor, the best advice I can give you right now are these two things (and you can do just one or BOTH, but definitely do at least one of these things ASAP):
- Schedule another appointment (or just do a walk-in) as soon as possible to see the piercer who put in your piercing (or see another piercer if necessary) to see what if anything is wrong with your piercing.
- If gets worse before your visit with the piercer, I would suggest taking the piercing out (which sucks, but you can always get another piercing) & scheduling an emergency appointment with an ENT doctor or your family doctor as soon as possible to see what’s happening with your nose.
Better safe than sorry.
