It's probably hypertrophic scarring caused by mechanical stress on the piercing by the jewellery, and a qualified piercer could sort it out. Undiluted tea tree oil in a fresh piercing {or any piercing} is bad news, as well, and can cause more trouble. Emu oil is the only safe oil.
I have never even heard of emu oil, so I’ll have to research what that does. But thank you for that correction.
